TMTC is back with its 2026 production of Titanic: The Musical at the Creative School Chrysalis on February 19th-21st!
Toronto Metropolitan Theatre Company (TMTC) is a student group at Toronto Metropolitan University that produces a full-scale, completely student-run musical each year. We are proud to offer students across all programs the opportunity to come together and share their love for theatre.
Founded in 2015, with an inaugural production of Thoroughly Modern Millie, in our 2025-2026 season TMTC will be entering 11 years of operation, making it the longest running student theatre company on TMU campus. In the decade since its inception, TMTC has produced countless shows like Into the Woods, Newsies, Something Rotten and Catch Me If You Can, all culminating in our 2026 production of Titanic: The Musical.
“High in the Crow’s nest of the New White Star Liner Titanic, lookout Frederick Fleet peered into a dazzling night… There was no moon, but the cloudless sky blazed with stars. The Atlantic was like polished plate glass; people later said they had never seen it so smooth.” -Walter Lord, A Night To Remember.
Based on real people aboard the most legendary ship in the world, Titanic the musical is a stunning and heartbreaking examination of hope and dreams. Every passenger aboard the “ship of dreams” has a story to tell, ranging from the hopeful immigrants in the ship’s third class to the legacy-building millionaires in first class.
Tony Award winning writers Maury Yeston and Peter Stone produce a beautiful blend of hope and melancholy, setting the stage for one of the most poignant tragedies of the 20th century
