The Orchestra of the Royal Netherlands Air Force and acclaimed singer Shirma Rouse present It’s All About Freedom, a special musical tribute to the liberation of the Netherlands during the Second World War and the enduring friendship between the Netherlands and Canada.
Combining the orchestra’s dynamic sound with Shirma Rouse’s soulful vocals, the program brings together music and stories of freedom, resistance, and liberation. The tour celebrates the Canadian soldiers who played a key role in the liberation of the Netherlands while reflecting on the meaning of freedom for audiences in both countries.
The Canadian tour travels through Montreal, Ottawa, and Toronto, with concerts, military ceremonies, and special performances honouring veterans and the shared history between the two nations. The final concert takes place at The Chrysalis at Toronto Metropolitan University, bringing the tour to a close with an evening centered on freedom, remembrance, and solidarity.
